             To authorize the conveyance of state-owned real       11           

                estate in Franklin County from the Department of   12           

                Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities               

                to the Friendship Baptist Church.                  13           




BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:        15           

      Section 1.  The Governor is hereby authorized to execute a   17           

deed in the name of the state conveying to the Friendship Baptist  18           

Church, and its successors and assigns, all of the state's right,  19           

title, and interest in the following described real estate:        20           

      SITUATE in the State of Ohio, County of Franklin, City of    22           

Columbus, in Lot No. 1 of M. L. Sullivants Subdivision of Farming  23           

lands, Virginia Military Survey No. 2668, and being a part of the  24           

land conveyed to the State of Ohio by deeds of record in Deed      25           

Book 82, Page 582, and in Deed Book 126, Page 227, Recorders                    

Office, Franklin County, Ohio, and being more particularly         26           

described as follows:                                              27           

      Beginning for reference at a northeast corner of a 5.513     29           

acre tract, conveyed to the Friendship Baptist Church by deed of   30           

record in Official Record 2118, Page A19, Recorders Office,        31           

Franklin County, Ohio, said reference point being on the west LA   32           

ROW of the Interstate Route 70: thence South 08° 56' 14" West, a   33           

distance of 168.36 feet, and South 45° 21' 29" West, a distance                 

of 115.79 feet along the southeast line of said 5.513 acre tract   34           

to a found iron pin at the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, said           35           

beginning reference point being 0.04 ft south and 0.06 ft east of  36           

a found iron pin; thence across said State of Ohio lands the       37

following six courses,                                                          

South 55° 28' 04" West, a distance of 47.66 feet to a set iron     39           

pin; thence                                                        40           

North 77° 47' 26" West, a distance of 327.41 feet to a set iron    42           

pin; thence                                                        43           

North 77° 08' 04" West, a distance of 127.97 feet to a set iron    45           

pin; thence                                                        46           

North 17° 36' 46" West, a distance of 365.05 feet to a found iron  48           

pin on the southwest line of said 5.513 acre tract, being South    49           

54° 50' 42" East, a distance of 142.18 feet from the southwest     50           

corner of said 5.513 acre tract; thence with said southwest line   51           

and a southwest line of a 0.131 acre tract conveyed by deed of     52           

record in Official Record 23524, Page E13,                                      

South 54° 50' 42" East, a distance of 727.10 feet to the TRUE      54           

POINT OF BEGINNING, passing found iron pins on corners of said     55           

0.131 acre tract at 141.11 feet and 265.57 feet, containing 2.031  56           

acres more or less, and being subject however to all legal         57           

easements of record.                                                            

      This description was prepared from surveys made in           59           

September 1993 and April 1998 by Robert G. Watts, RPLS #4138.      60           

Bearings are based on a bearing of South 54° 35' 57" East for the  61           

common line found on the State of Ohio, Department of              62           

Transportation Right-of-Way plan for I-70, Franklin County,                     

FRA-70-10.36 S, Sheets numbered 251/255 & 11/15. and 252/255 &     63           

12/15, and in the deed for said 5.513 acre tract.  Set iron pins   64           

are 5/8"x30" rebars with yellow plastic caps embossed "Thomas      65           

Engr & Surveying".                                                              

      Section 2.  Consideration for the conveyance of the real     67           

estate is the purchase price of twenty thousand dollars.           68           

      Section 3.  Upon payment of the purchase price, the Auditor  70           

of State, with the assistance of the Attorney General, shall       71           

prepare a deed to the real estate.  The deed shall state the       72           

consideration.  The deed shall be executed by the Governor in the  73           

name of the state, countersigned by the Secretary of State,

sealed with the great seal of the state, presented in the office   74           

of the Auditor of State for recording, and delivered to the        75           

Friendship Baptist Church.  The Friendship Baptist Church shall    76           

present the deed for recording in the office of the Franklin       77           

County Recorder.                                                                

      Section 4.  The Friendship Baptist Church shall pay the      79           

costs of the conveyance of the real estate.                        80           

      Section 5.  This act shall expire one year after its         82           

effective date.
