A BILL

To enact section 3125.141 of the Revised Code to 1
allow a child support enforcement agency to 2
contract with a private person or entity to 3
provide service of process or to compensate a 4
sheriff for successful service of process. 5

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1. That section 3125.141 of the Revised Code be 6
enacted to read as follows: 7

       Sec. 3125.141. In providing for service of process of a 8
notice or order as required under this chapter or Chapter 3111., 9
3115., 3119., 3121., or 3123. of the Revised Code and in 10
accordance with the provisions of the Rules of Civil Procedure 11
that govern service of process, a child support enforcement agency 12
may do one or both of the following: 13

       (A) Contract with the sheriff of the county served by the 14
agency to compensate the sheriff's office for successful service 15
of process; 16

       (B) Contract with a private person or entity to provide 17
service of process for the agency. 18

Section 1. That section 3125.141 of the Revised Code be	6
enacted to read as follows:	7

Sec. 3125.141. In providing for service of process of a	8
notice or order as required under this chapter or Chapter 3111.,	9
3115., 3119., 3121., or 3123. of the Revised Code and in	10
