A BILL

To enact section 4303.251 of the Revised Code to 1
authorize entities involved in the manufacture or 2
distribution of beer or intoxicating liquor to 3
conduct consumer product instruction, or provide 4
sample servings of their products, at a retail 5
permit holder's premises without having to obtain 6
a retail liquor permit. 7

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That section 4303.251 of the Revised Code be 8
enacted to read as follows: 9

Section 4303.251. A manufacturer, supplier, broker, or 10
wholesale distributor of beer or intoxicating liquor, or an agent, 11
solicitor, or salesperson who is registered under section 4303.25 12
of the Revised Code and who represents a manufacturer, supplier, 13
broker, or wholesale distributor of beer or intoxicating liquor, 14
may conduct consumer product instruction, or provide sample 15
servings of the manufacturer's, supplier's, broker's, or wholesale 16
distributor's products, on the premises of a retail permit holder, 17
without the manufacturer, supplier, broker, wholesale distributor, 18
agent, solicitor, or salesperson having to be issued a retail 19
permit under this chapter. The person providing a sample serving 20
shall purchase the beer or intoxicating liquor at the ordinary 21
retail price from the retail permit holder whose premises are 22
involved. The liquor control commission shall adopt rules in 23
accordance with Chapter 119. of the Revised Code to implement this 24
section. 25
