A BILL
To amend section 4399.14 of the Revised Code to 1
remove the prohibition against a minor being in a 2
public dance hall unless accompanied by a parent 3
or legal guardian.4


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1. That section 4399.14 of the Revised Code be 5
amended to read as follows: 6

       Sec. 4399.14. No(A) Except as otherwise provided in 7
division (B) of this section, no person who is the proprietor of 8
any public dance hall, or who conducts, manages, or is in charge 9
of any public dance hall, shall allow the use of any intoxicating 10
liquor or the presence of intoxicated persons in suchthe public11
dance hall or on the premises on which such dance hallit is 12
located; but the.13

       (B) The prohibition against the use of any intoxicating 14
liquor contained in division (A) of this section does not apply to15
establishments that are holders of a D-1, D-2, D-3, D-4, or D-5 16
permit whose principal business consists of conducting a hotel, a 17
restaurant, a club, or a night club, all as defined byin section 18
4301.01 of the Revised Code. No person who is the proprietor of 19
any public dance hall, or who conducts, manages, or is in charge 20
thereof, shall permit the presence at such public dance hall of 21
any child younger than eighteen years of age, not accompanied by 22
his father, mother, or legal guardian.23

       Section 2. That existing section 4399.14 of the Revised Code 24
is hereby repealed.25
