A BILL

To amend section 3767.30 of the Revised Code to

prohibit protest activities within 300 feet of the

site of a funeral service during and within one

3

hour before and after the service and to prohibit

4

protest activities within 300 feet of a funeral

5

procession.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That section 3767.30 of the Revised Code be	7
amended to read as follows:	8

Sec. 3767.30.  Every citizen may freely speak, write, and	9
publish histhe person's sentiments on all subjects, being	10
responsible for the abuse of the right, but no person shall picket	11
or engage in other protest activities, nor shall any association	12
or corporation cause to be picketedpicketing or other protest	13
activities to occur, within three hundred feet of any residence,	14
cemetery, funeral home, church, synagogue, or other establishment	15
during or within one hour before and duringor one hour after the	16
conducting of an actual funeral or burial service at suchthat	17
place. No person shall picket or engage in other protest	18
activities, nor shall any association or corporation cause to be	19
picketedpicketing or other protest activities to occur, within	20
three hundred feet of any funeral procession.	21

Section 2. That existing section 3767.30 of the Revised Code	22
is hereby repealed.	23
