Sec. 4503.481. (A) Any person who is a retired veteran of the | 6 |
Ohio national guard may apply to the registrar of motor vehicles | 7 |
for the registration of any passenger car, noncommercial motor | 8 |
vehicle, recreational vehicle, or other vehicle of a class | 9 |
approved by the registrar the person owns or leases. The | 10 |
application shall be accompanied by such written evidence that the | 11 |
applicant is a retired veteran of the Ohio national guard as the | 12 |
registrar shall require by rule. | 13 |
Upon receipt of an application for registration of a motor | 14 |
vehicle under this section, presentation of satisfactory evidence | 15 |
documenting that the applicant is a retired veteran of the Ohio | 16 |
national guard, and payment of the regular license fee as | 17 |
prescribed under section 4503.04 of the Revised Code and any local | 18 |
motor vehicle license tax levied under Chapter 4504. of the | 19 |
Revised Code, the registrar shall issue to the applicant the | 20 |
appropriate motor vehicle registration and a set of license plates | 21 |
and a validation sticker, or a validation sticker alone when | 22 |
required by section 4503.191 of the Revised Code. In addition to | 23 |
the letters and numbers ordinarily inscribed thereon, the license | 24 |
plates shall contain one of the following inscriptions, as | 25 |
appropriate: "OHIO ARMY NATIONAL GUARD RETIRED," or "OHIO AIR | 26 |
NATIONAL GUARD RETIRED." The license plates shall bear county | 27 |
identification stickers that identify the county of registration | 28 |
by name or number. | 29 |
