(B) No local authority shall use traffic law photo-monitoring | 20 |
devices to enforce any traffic law until after it has erected | 21 |
signs on every highway and freeway that is part of the state | 22 |
highway system and that enters that local authority. The signs | 23 |
shall inform inbound traffic that the local authority utilizes | 24 |
traffic law photo-monitoring devices to enforce traffic laws. The | 25 |
signs shall be erected within the first three hundred feet of the | 26 |
boundary of the local authority, and the local authority is | 27 |
responsible for all costs associated with the erection, | 28 |
maintenance, and replacement, if necessary, of the signs. All | 29 |
signs erected under this division shall conform in size, color, | 30 |
location, and content to standards contained in the manual adopted | 31 |
by the department of transportation pursuant to section 4511.09 of | 32 |
the Revised Code and shall remain in place for as long as the | 33 |
local authority utilizes traffic law photo-monitoring devices to | 34 |
enforce any traffic law. Any ticket, citation, or summons issued | 35 |
by or on behalf of the local authority for any traffic law | 36 |
violation based upon evidence gathered by a traffic law | 37 |
photo-monitoring device before the signs have been erected is | 38 |
