A BILL

To enact section 307.852 of the Revised Code to

authorize a board of county commissioners to

appropriate funds to tax-exempt 501(c)(3)

3

organizations for the design and construction of a

4

veterans memorial education center and veterans

5

service commission office.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That section 307.852 of the Revised Code be	7
enacted to read as follows:	8

Sec. 307.852. (A) A board of county commissioners may	9
appropriate from the county general fund moneys not appropriated	10
for any other purpose to an organization that is exempt from	11
federal taxation under subsection 501(a) and described in	12
subsection 501(c)(3) of the "Internal Revenue Code of 1986," 100	13
Stat. 2085, 26 U.S.C. 1, as amended, for the design and	14
construction of a facility to house a veterans memorial education	15
center and veterans service commission offices.	16

(B) Before an organization receives funds from a board of	17
county commissioners under this section, the organization shall	18
enter an agreement with the county providing for all of the	19
following:	20

(1) That the organization shall be required to keep current	21
and accurate accounts of its use of the money;	22

(2) That the organization shall be liable to repay any moneys	23
to the county that are used improperly;	24

(3) Any other terms and conditions specified in the	25
agreement.	26
