A BILL
To enact sections 5533.76, 5533.77, 5533.78, 5533.92, 1
and 5533.93 of the Revised Code to designate a 2
portion of Interstate Route 270 within Franklin 3
County as the "Trooper Wendy G. Everett Memorial 4
Highway," to designate a portion of United States 5
Route 62 in southwestern Franklin County as the 6
"Patrolman Jerry R. Neff Memorial Highway," to 7
designate a portion of Interstate Route 270 in 8
southeastern Franklin County as the "Trooper Jody 9
S. Dye Memorial Highway," to designate the bridge 10
that is part of United States Route 50 West and 11
spans the North Fork Creek at Slate Mills in Ross 12
County as the "Deputy Lawrence Barnes Memorial 13
Bridge," and to designate the bridge that is part 14
of the connector portion of State Route 207 and 15
spans the Scioto River in Chillicothe in Ross 16
County as the "Don E. Carnes Bridge."17


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1. That sections 5533.76, 5533.77, 5533.78. 5533.92, 18
and 5533.93 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:19

       Sec. 5533.76. That portion of interstate route number two 20
hundred seventy located within Franklin county between mile marker 21
number one and mile marker number three shall be known as the 22
"Trooper Wendy G. Everett Memorial Highway." Any action taken by 23
the director of transportation prior to the effective date of this 24
section pursuant to section 5511.09 of the Revised Code in 25
relation to that portion of highway is unaffected by this section.26

       The director may erect suitable markers along the highway 27
indicating its name.28

       Sec. 5533.77.  That portion of United States route number 29
sixty-two located in southwestern Franklin county between mile 30
marker number one and mile marker number two shall be known as the 31
"Patrolman Jerry R. Neff Memorial Highway."32

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 33
along the highway indicating its name.34

       Sec. 5533.78. That portion of interstate route number two 35
hundred seventy located within Franklin county between mile marker 36
number forty-five and mile marker number forty-seven shall be 37
known as the "Trooper Jody S. Dye Memorial Highway." Any action 38
taken by the director of transportation prior to the effective 39
date of this section pursuant to section 5511.09 of the Revised 40
Code in relation to that portion of highway is unaffected by this 41
section.42

        The director may erect suitable markers along the highway 43
indicating its name.44

       Sec. 5533.92.  The bridge spanning the North Fork creek at 45
the community of Slate Mills in Ross county and being a part of 46
United States route number fifty west shall be known as the 47
"Deputy Lawrence Barnes Memorial Bridge."48

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 49
upon the bridge, or the approaches thereto, indicating its name.50

       Sec. 5533.93.  The bridge spanning the Scioto river in the 51
city of Chillicothe in Ross county and being a part of the 52
connector portion of state route number two hundred seven shall be 53
known as the "Don E. Carnes Bridge."54

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 55
upon the bridge, or the approaches thereto, indicating its name.56
