To formally state the General Assembly's intentions | 1 |
in its upcoming deliberations on providing a more | 2 |
responsive and responsible government. | 3 |
Section 1. In conducting its deliberations on providing a | 4 |
more responsive and responsible government, the General Assembly | 5 |
may consider any of the following: | 6 |
(A) Promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in | 7 |
government; | 8 |
(B) Examining potential cost-saving measures, such as | 9 |
streamlining services and creating economies of scale; | 10 |
(C) Thoroughly reviewing and monitoring all contracts with | 11 |
private providers of government services, and requiring that their | 12 |
records be open for examination; | 13 |
(D) Removing bureaucratic barriers to government services; | 14 |
(E) Any other matter the General Assembly considers relevant | 15 |
to advancing the vital public policy of providing a more | 16 |
responsive and responsible government. | 17 |
