A BILL

To enact section 3345.46 of the Revised Code to

require state universities to guarantee that a

full-time undergraduate student with a declared

3

major field of study can complete the coursework

4

for that program of study in a specified time

5

period.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That section 3345.46 of the Revised Code be	7
enacted to read as follows:	8

Sec. 3345.46. Each state university, as defined in section	9
3345.011 of the Revised Code, shall guarantee that an	10
undergraduate student who is attending the state university full	11
time can complete the coursework required for the student's	12
declared major field of study in the time period specified for	13
that program. The board of trustees of each state university shall	14
adopt rules to implement and manage this section, including	15
ensuring that the university maintains reasonable course	16
availability.	17
