General Assembly recognizes that physical pain affects tens of | 9 |
millions of Americans and that untreated or inadequately treated | 10 |
pain can diminish quality of life and result in economic loss to | 11 |
Ohio through medical expenses, lost wages, reduced productivity, | 12 |
and other costs. The General Assembly considers increasing public | 13 |
awareness of physical pain and promoting access to appropriate | 14 |
pain treatment for all Ohioans vital to reducing suffering and | 15 |
removing barriers to pain-free living. | 16 |
