Sec. 5903.101. (A) A state department, division, board, | 10 |
commission, agency, or other state governmental unit, or a private | 11 |
state contractor, authorized by the Revised Code to grant a | 12 |
licensure or certification shall, upon presentation of | 13 |
satisfactory evidence, consider relevant education, training, or | 14 |
service completed by an individual as a member of the armed forces | 15 |
of the United States or reserve components thereof, the Ohio | 16 |
national guard, the Ohio military reserve, or the Ohio naval | 17 |
militia toward the qualifications required to receive the | 18 |
licensure or certification. | 19 |
(B) If, within six months before or after discharge or | 20 |
separation, an individual otherwise qualified to receive a | 21 |
licensure or certification presents satisfactory evidence of | 22 |
honorable discharge or separation under honorable conditions, the | 23 |
state department, division, board, commission, agency, or other | 24 |
state governmental unit, or a private state contractor, issuing | 25 |
the licensure or certification shall waive any licensure or | 26 |
certification fee. | 27 |
