Section 1. That sections 2905.31 and 2905.32 of the Revised | 4 |
Code be enacted to read as follows: | 5 |
Sec. 2905.31. As used in sections 2905.31 and 2905.32 of the | 6 |
Revised Code: | 7 |
(A) "Involuntary servitude" means being compelled to perform | 8 |
labor or services for another against one's will. | 9 |
(B) "Material that is obscene, sexually oriented, or nudity | 10 |
oriented" and "performance that is obscene, sexually oriented, or | 11 |
nudity oriented" have the same meanings as in section 2929.01 of | 12 |
the Revised Code. | 13 |
Sec. 2905.32. (A) No person shall knowingly recruit, lure, | 14 |
entice, solicit, isolate, harbor, transport, provide, obtain, or | 15 |
maintain, or knowingly attempt to recruit, lure, entice, solicit, | 16 |
isolate, harbor, transport, provide, obtain, or maintain, another | 17 |
person knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that the | 18 |
person will be subjected to involuntary servitude or be compelled | 19 |
to engage in sexual activity for hire, engage in a performance | 20 |
that is obscene, sexually oriented, or nudity oriented, or be a | 21 |
model or participant in the production of material that is | 22 |
obscene, sexually oriented, or nudity oriented. | 23 |
(B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of trafficking in | 24 |
persons, a felony of the second degree. | 25 |
