To enact section 5.2265 of the Revised Code to 1
designate May as "ALS Awareness Month."2


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1. That section 5.2265 of the Revised Code be enacted 3
to read as follows:4

       Sec. 5.2265.  The month of May is designated as "ALS 5
Awareness Month." ALS is an acronym for amyotrophic lateral 6
sclerosis, a disease that is commonly known as Lou Gehrig's 7
disease and that attacks the nerves and causes degeneration in 8
muscle control and movement.9
