Section 2. In designating October 13 "Metastatic Breast | 10 |
Cancer Awareness Day," the General Assembly recognizes that breast | 11 |
cancer remains the second leading cause of cancer deaths among | 12 |
American women and that the risk of breast cancer may be reduced | 13 |
through healthy lifestyle choices. The General Assembly considers | 14 |
public awareness of this devastating disease to be vitally | 15 |
important to increase early detection and reduce the loss of life | 16 |
to metastatic breast cancer. Further, the General Assembly | 17 |
commends the efforts of Ohio's scientists and health professionals | 18 |
in developing new technologies and treatments for metastatic | 19 |
breast cancer and encourages them to continue these efforts and | 20 |
their search for a cure for this aggressive disease. | 21 |
