A BILL
To enact sections 1121.051, 1155.181, 1163.221, and 1
1733.413 of the Revised Code to permit Ohio banks, 2
savings and loan associations, savings banks, and 3
credit unions to charge the same interest rate and 4
other charges that out-of-state banks may charge 5
Ohio customers.6


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1. That sections 1121.051, 1155.181, 1163.221, and 7
1733.413 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:8

       Sec. 1121.051.  Notwithstanding any limitations contained in 9
the Revised Code, a bank may charge its customers interest, fees, 10
and other charges at any rates or amounts that a bank located in 11
another state may charge to customers in this state. 12

       Sec. 1155.181.  Notwithstanding any limitations contained in 13
the Revised Code, a savings and loan association may charge its 14
customers interest, fees, and other charges at any rates or 15
amounts that a savings and loan association located in another 16
state may charge to customers in this state. 17

       Sec. 1163.221.  Notwithstanding any limitations contained in 18
the Revised Code, a savings bank may charge its customers 19
interest, fees, and other charges at any rates or amounts that a 20
savings bank located in another state may charge to customers in 21
this state. 22

       Sec. 1733.413.  Notwithstanding any limitations contained in 23
the Revised Code, a credit union may charge its customers 24
interest, fees, and other charges at any rates or amounts that a 25
credit union located in another state may charge to customers in 26
this state. 27
