To amend sections 5533.051 and 5533.774 and to enact 1
sections 5533.104, 5533.221, 5533.254, 5533.301, 2
5533.321, 5533.356, 5533.377, 5533.378, 5533.379, 3
5533.461, 5533.624, 5533.625, 5533.626, 5533.627, 4
5533.628, 5533.629, 5533.645, 5533.646, 5533.688, 5
5533.752, 5533.768, 5533.769, 5533.775, 5533.831, 6
5533.832, and 5533.961 of the Revised Code to 7
designate a number of memorial highways.8


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1. That sections 5533.051 and 5533.774 be amended and 9
sections 5533.104, 5533.221, 5533.254, 5533.301, 5533.321, 10
5533.356, 5533.377, 5533.378, 5533.379, 5533.461, 5533.624, 11
5533.625, 5533.626, 5533.627, 5533.628, 5533.629, 5533.645, 12
5533.646, 5533.688, 5533.752, 5533.768, 5533.769, 5533.775, 13
5533.831, 5533.832, and 5533.961 of the Revised Code be enacted to 14
read as follows:15

       Sec. 5533.051. In addition to the designations of the road 16
known as United States route twenty-three in section 5533.05 of 17
the Revised Code, the portion of that road running in a north and 18
south direction, commencing at the boundary of Franklin and 19
Delaware counties and extending to the municipal corporation of 20
Delaware, and also the portion of that road located in Scioto 21
county, from mile marker number three to mile marker number ten,22
shall be known as the "Branch Rickey Memorial Highway."23

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 24
along each designated portion of the highway indicating its name.25

       Sec. 5533.104.  In addition to the designation in section 26
5533.10 of the Revised Code, that portion of the road known as 27
United States route number fifty, commencing at the point where 28
the road that carries the designations of both that United States 29
route and United States route number thirty-five south of the 30
municipal corporation of Chillicothe diverges and proceeding in a 31
southeasterly direction to the intersection of United States route 32
fifty and state route number three hundred twenty-seven within 33
Ross county only, shall be known as the "Lance Cpl. Aaron Reed 34
Memorial Highway."35

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 36
along the highway indicating its name. 37

       Sec. 5533.221. That portion of the road known as state route 38
number one hundred four, running in a northerly and southerly 39
direction within Ross county only, between the intersection of 40
that state route and Williamsport pike in the north and the 41
intersection of that state route and Pennyroyal road in the south, 42
shall be known as the "David A. Gibson Memorial Highway."43

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 44
along the highway indicating its name.45

       Sec. 5533.254. That portion of the road known as state route 46
two hundred sixty-four located within Hamilton county, commencing 47
at the municipal corporation of Cleves and extending in an 48
easterly direction to the intersection of that route with South 49
road, shall be known as the "Sergeant David Kreuter Memorial 50
Highway."51

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 52
along the highway indicating its name. 53

       Sec. 5533.301.  In addition to the designations in sections 54
5533.09 and 5533.30 of the Revised Code, the road known as 55
interstate route number seventy, running in an easterly and 56
westerly direction within Belmont county between exit number two 57
hundred eight and exit number two hundred thirteen, also shall be 58
known as the "Staff Sgt. Jesse Ault Memorial Highway."59

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 60
along the highway indicating its name. 61

       Sec. 5533.321.  In addition to the respective designations in 62
sections 5533.09 and 5533.32 of the Revised Code and any other 63
name prescribed in the Revised Code or otherwise, that portion of 64
the highway known as interstate route number seventy-one, 65
commencing at mile marker one hundred ninety-six and proceeding in 66
a northerly direction to mile marker two hundred one within Wayne 67
county only, shall be known as the "Army 1st Lieutenant John 68
Runkle Memorial Highway."69

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 70
along the highway indicating its name.71

       Sec. 5533.356. That portion of the road known as United 72
States route number two hundred fifty, commencing at the 73
intersection of that United States route and county road number 74
seven hundred fifty-eight and proceeding in a southerly direction 75
to the intersection of that United States route and township road 76
number eight hundred fifty-six, within Ashland county only, shall 77
be known as the "Sheriff's Lieutenant John P. Gisclon Memorial 78
Highway."79

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 80
along the highway indicating its name.81

       Sec. 5533.377.  That portion of the road known as state route 82
number thirty-nine, commencing at the intersection of that state 83
route and ridge avenue northeast within the municipal corporation 84
of New Philadelphia and proceeding in an easterly direction to the 85
intersection of that state route and tall timber road northeast, 86
within Tuscarawas county only, shall be known as the "Lance 87
Corporal Peter James Clore Memorial Highway."88

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 89
along the highway indicating its name.90

       Sec. 5533.378. That portion of the road known as state route 91
number one hundred seventy-two, commencing at the intersection of 92
that route and Jackson avenue and proceeding in an easterly 93
direction to the intersection of that route and Perry drive within 94
Stark county only, shall be known as the "U.S.M.C. Sgt. Daniel J. 95
Patron Memorial Highway."96

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 97
along the highway indicating its name.98

       Sec. 5533.379. That portion of the road known as state route 99
number seven hundred seventy-two, commencing at the boundary of 100
Pike county and Ross county and proceeding in a northerly 101
direction to the boundary of Chillicothe in Ross county, shall be 102
known as the "Staff Sergeant Joshua Gire Memorial Highway." 103

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 104
along the highway indicating its name. 105

       Sec. 5533.461.  In addition to the designation of the road 106
known as United States route number fifty-two in section 5533.46 107
of the Revised Code, that portion of United States route number 108
fifty-two located in Scioto county from mile marker number 109
twenty-six to mile marker number thirty-one, also shall be known 110
as the "U.S.M.C. LCpl Jonathan Etterling Memorial Highway."111

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 112
along the highway indicating its name.113

       Sec. 5533.624. In addition to the designation in section 114
5533.20 of the Revised Code, that portion of the road known as 115
state route number forty-one, commencing at the intersection of 116
that state route and state route number thirty-two and proceeding 117
in a northerly direction to the intersection of state route 118
forty-one and Shaker Run road in the village of Peebles in Adams 119
county only, shall be known as the "LCpl. Luke C. Scott Memorial 120
Highway."121

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 122
along the highway indicating its name.123

       Sec. 5533.625. That portion of the road known as United 124
States route number sixty-two, commencing at the intersection of 125
that United States route and county highway number 17D and 126
proceeding in a northerly direction to the intersection of that 127
United States route and state route number thirty-two in Brown 128
county only, shall be known as the "Pfc. Seth Blevins Memorial 129
Highway."130

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 131
along the highway indicating its name.132

       Sec. 5533.626.  That portion of the road known as state route 133
number forty-four, running in a northerly and southerly direction 134
and located within Marlboro township in Stark county only, shall 135
be known as the "First Lt. Ashley White-Stumpf Memorial Highway."136

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 137
along the highway indicating its name.138

       Sec. 5533.627.  That portion of the road known as state route 139
number twenty-one, commencing at the intersection of that route 140
and Arcadia street and proceeding in a southeasterly direction to 141
the intersection of that route and Butterbridge road in Stark 142
county only, shall be known as the "Sgt. Michael Barkey Memorial 143
Highway."144

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 145
along the highway indicating its name.146

       Sec. 5533.628.  That portion of the road known as state route 147
number six hundred nineteen, commencing at the boundary of Summit 148
and Stark counties and proceeding in an easterly direction to the 149
intersection of that route and Kaufman avenue in Lake township in 150
Stark county, shall be known as the "Captain Daniel Stiles 151
Memorial Highway."152

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 153
along the highway indicating its name.154

       Sec. 5533.629. That portion of the road known as state route 155
number four hundred sixteen, commencing at the southern boundary 156
of the municipal corporation of New Philadelphia and proceeding in 157
a southerly direction to the northern boundary of the municipal 158
corporation of Tuscarawas in Tuscarawas county only, shall be 159
known as the "Sgt. James L. Smith Memorial Highway."160

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 161
along the highway indicating its name.162

       Sec. 5533.645.  That portion of the road known as state route 163
number two hundred thirty-five, located within the municipal 164
corporation of Fairborn in Greene county only, shall be known as 165
the "Army Specialist Jesse Adam Snow memorial highway."166

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 167
along the highway indicating its name.168

       Sec. 5533.646. That portion of the road known as state route 169
number forty-seven, commencing at the intersection of that state 170
route and state route number forty-nine and proceeding in an 171
easterly direction to the intersection of state route forty-seven 172
and United States route number one hundred twenty-seven in Darke 173
county only, shall be known as the "Pfc. Douglas E. Dickey 174
Memorial Highway."175

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 176
along the highway indicating its name.177

       Sec. 5533.688. That portion of the road known as state route 178
number one hundred seventy-nine, commencing at the intersection of 179
that state route and College street within the municipal 180
corporation of Hayesville and proceeding in an easterly and then 181
southeasterly and then southerly direction to the intersection of 182
that state route and township road number two thousand six hundred 183
fifty, within Ashland county only, shall be known as the 184
"Specialist Damon G. Winkleman Memorial Highway."185

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 186
along the highway indicating its name. 187

       Sec. 5533.752. That portion of the road known as United 188
States route forty-two, running in a northeasterly direction 189
between the municipal corporations of Lebanon and Waynesville in 190
Warren county, shall be known as the "Sergeant Brian Dulle 191
Memorial Highway."192

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 193
along the highway indicating its name. 194

       Sec. 5533.768. That portion of the road known as United 195
States route sixty-two, located in Stark county, commencing at the 196
intersection of that route with state route ninety-three and 197
extending in a northeasterly direction to the intersection of that 198
route with Mt. Eaton street southwest, shall be known as the "U.S. 199
Army Spc. Zachary Grass Memorial Highway."200

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 201
along the highway indicating its name.202

       Sec. 5533.769. That portion of the road known as state route 203
one hundred seventy-two, located in Stark county, commencing at 204
the intersection of that route with Woodlawn avenue and extending 205
in a westerly direction to the intersection of that route with 206
Saratoga avenue northwest, shall be known as the "Lt. Jason S. 207
Manse Memorial Highway."208

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 209
along the highway indicating its name.210

       Sec. 5533.774. (A)(1) That portion of the road known as state 211
route one hundred four, commencing at its intersection with United 212
States route twenty-three and extending to its intersection with 213
Lockbourne road, shall be known as the "Tuskegee Airmen Memorial 214
Highway."215

       (2) In addition to the designations in sections 5533.24 and 216
5533.241 of the Revised Code, that portion of the road known as 217
interstate route seventy-five, running throughout Ohio in a 218
northerly and southerly direction, from the Michigan border in 219
Lucas county, through the counties of Wood, Hancock, Allen, 220
Auglaize, Shelby, Miami, Montgomery, Warren, and Butler, to the 221
Kentucky border in Hamilton county, shall be known as the 222
"Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Trail."223

       (B) The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 224
alongupon the designated portion of each highway indicating its 225
name.226

       Sec. 5533.775. That portion of the road known as United 227
States route number thirty, commencing at the boundary between 228
Canton and Osnaburg townships and proceeding in an easterly 229
direction to the boundary between Osnaburg township and the 230
municipal corporation of East Canton within Stark county only, 231
shall be known as the "Staff Sgt. Kevin J. Kessler Memorial 232
Highway."233

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 234
along the highway indicating its name.235

       Sec. 5533.831.  That portion of state route fifty-two located 236
in southern Scioto county between mile marker number seventeen and 237
mile marker number nineteen shall be known as the "Boone Coleman 238
Memorial Highway."239

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 240
along the highway indicating its name.241

       Sec. 5533.832. That portion of the road known as state route 242
number thirteen, commencing at the intersection of that route with 243
Cassell road in Knox county and proceeding in a northerly 244
direction to the intersection of that route with Zolman road, 245
shall be known at the "Bill Burgett Highway."246

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 247
along the highway indicating its name. 248

       Sec. 5533.961.  That portion of the road known as state route 249
eighty-four, located in the municipal corporation of Mentor in 250
Lake county, commencing at the intersection of that route with 251
Broadmoor road and extending in a northeasterly direction to the 252
intersection of that route with Chillicothe road, shall be known 253
as the "Sgt. Mark T. Smykowski Memorial Highway."254

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 255
along the highway indicating its name.256

       Section 2. That existing sections 5533.051 and 5533.774 of 257
the Revised Code are hereby repealed.258
