A BILL

To enact section 307.093 of the Revised Code to

authorize a board of county commissioners of any

2

county to enter into agreements for the sale and

3

leaseback of county buildings.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That section 307.093 of the Revised Code be	5
enacted to read as follows:	6

Sec. 307.093. A board of county commissioners may enter into	7
a sale and leaseback agreement under which the board agrees to	8
convey a county-owned building to a purchaser who is obligated,	9
immediately upon closing, to lease the building back to the board.	10
The sale and leaseback agreement shall obligate the lessor to make	11
improvements to the building, including renovations, energy	12
conservation measures, and other measures that are necessary to	13
improve the functionality and reduce the operating costs of the	14
building.	15

The authority granted by this section is not subject to the	16
limitations imposed by sections 307.02 and 307.09 of the Revised	17
Code.	18
