To amend section 1.04 of the Revised Code to exempt | 1 |

Section 1. That section 1.04 of the Revised Code be amended | 4 |
to read as follows: | 5 |
Sec. 1.04. The standard time throughout this state shall be | 6 |
the mean astronomical time of the seventy-fifth degree of | 7 |
longitude west from Greenwich. Courts, public offices, and | 8 |
official legal proceedings subject to the laws of this state shall | 9 |
be regulated thereby. Whenever the time of performance of any act, | 10 |
or the time of accrual or determination of any rights, is fixed or | 11 |
governed by the statutes of this state or by any resolutions, | 12 |
rules, regulations, or orders in effect under authority of such | 13 |
statutes, such time shall be the standard time provided in this | 14 |
section. | 15 |
All clocks maintained in or upon public buildings, existing | 16 |
as such under the laws of this state, shall be set and run | 17 |
according to this section. | 18 |
This state declares itself to be exempt from 15 U.S.C. 260a, | 19 |
shall not advance the standard time by one hour as therein | 20 |
prescribed, and otherwise shall not participate in the seasonal | 21 |
time change commonly referred to as daylight savings time. | 22 |
Section 2. That existing section 1.04 of the Revised Code is | 23 |
hereby repealed. | 24 |
