A BILL

To enact section 2151.411 of the Revised Code to

require generally that siblings in the custody of

a public children services agency be placed

together.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That section 2151.411 of the Revised Code be	5
enacted to read as follows:	6

Sec. 2151.411. Whenever a child comes into the custody of a	7
public children services agency, either as part of a sibling group	8
or subsequent to the previous placement of a sibling, the agency	9
shall make reasonable efforts to place the siblings together,	10
unless it would be contrary to the siblings' best interest or	11
well-being. If siblings are not placed together, the agency shall	12
make reasonable efforts to ensure the siblings' interaction,	13
unless it would be contrary to the siblings' placement or	14
well-being.	15
