| To enact section 2907.12 of the Revised Code to make | 1 |
| engaging in an act of sexual bestiality a criminal | 2 |
| offense. | 3 |
| Section 1. That section 2907.12 of the Revised Code be | 4 |
| enacted to read as follows: | 5 |
| Sec. 2907.12. (A) No person shall knowingly engage in an act | 6 |
| of sexual bestiality. | 7 |
| (B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of engaging in an | 8 |
| act of sexual bestiality. Engaging in an act of sexual bestiality | 9 |
| is a misdemeanor of the first degree or, if the offender | 10 |
| previously has been convicted of a violation of this section, a | 11 |
| felony of the fifth degree. | 12 |
| (C) As used in this section, "sexual bestiality" means any | 13 |
| conduct of a sexual nature between a human and an animal that | 14 |
| consists of the insertion, however slight, of the genitals of a | 15 |
| human into the vaginal, anal, or oral opening of the animal or the | 16 |
| insertion, however slight, of the genitals of an animal into the | 17 |
| vaginal, anal, or oral opening of the human, for the purpose of | 18 |
| arousing or gratifying the sexual desires of the human. | 19 |
