| data.Ohio.gov. | 3 |
| Section 1. That section 149.65 of the Revised Code be | 4 |
| enacted to read as follows: | 5 |
| Sec. 149.65. The director of administrative services shall | 6 |
| establish and administer and operate a web site to function as a | 7 |
| portal and catalog where public records and data sets of public | 8 |
| records, created by state government and other public offices, can | 9 |
| be located and accessed by the public online. The web site shall | 10 |
| be registered at data.Ohio.gov. The state shall consider | 11 |
| participation and affiliation of data.Ohio.gov with data.gov, the | 12 |
| official online data catalog of the United States government. | 13 |
| The director of administrative services shall adopt rules | 14 |
| under Chapter 119. of the Revised Code that specify policies and | 15 |
| procedures for the administration and operation of data.Ohio.gov. | 16 |
| The director shall make every effort to ensure that data posted | 17 |
| online at data.ohio.gov is open format and machine readable. | 18 |
