A BILL

To enact sections 5533.462, 5533.463, and 5533.812 of

the Revised Code to designate the "Southern Ohio

Veterans Memorial Highway," the "Specialist 4

Samuel A. Johnson Memorial Highway," and the

"Oakley C. Collins Memorial Bridge."

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That sections 5533.462, 5533.463, and 5533.812 of	6
the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:	7

Sec. 5533.462.  The road that will be known as state route	8
number eight hundred twenty-three and having an approximate	9
scheduled completion date of not later than 2020, commencing at	10
the intersection of that route and United States route number	11
twenty-three and proceeding in a southerly direction to the	12
intersection of that state route and United States route number	13
fifty-two in Scioto county only, shall be known as the "Southern	14
Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway."	15

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers	16
along the highway indicating its name.	17

Sec. 5533.463.  In addition to any other name prescribed in	18
the Revised Code or otherwise, that portion of the road known as	19
state route number forty-one, commencing at the intersection of	20
that state route and Rarden road within the municipal corporation	21
of Peebles and proceeding in a northerly direction to the	22
intersection of that state route and the road known as cemetery	23
road to the west of that state route and as frog hollow road to	24
the east of that state route, within Adams county only, shall be	25
known as the "Specialist 4 Samuel A. Johnson Memorial Highway."	26

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers	27
along the highway indicating its name.	28

Sec. 5533.812.  The bridge that will span the Ohio river in	29
Lawrence county and will replace the existing bridge known as the	30
Ironton-Russell bridge, and that has a final completion date	31
during calendar year 2016, shall be known as the "Oakley C.	32
Collins Memorial Bridge."	33

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers	34
upon the bridge or its approaches indicating its name.	35
