| Sec. 101.28. (A) Joint conventions of the two houses of the | 8 |

general assembly shall be held in the hall of the house of | 9 |
|
representatives, unless otherwise ordered by joint resolution. | 10 |
DuringNo joint resolution shall be adopted authorizing a joint | 11 |
|
convention to be held at a location other than the hall of the | 12 |
|
house of representatives, for the purpose of hearing the | 13 |
|
governor's annual message on the condition of the state, pursuant | 14 |
|
to Section 7 of Article III, Ohio Constitution.

| (B) During a joint convention, each house shall be deemed in | 16 |
|
session as a separate branch of the general assembly. Except in | 17 |
|
voting in elections where each member is entitled to a separate | 18 |
|
vote, each house shall act separately and no question shall be | 19 |
|
carried otherwise than by concurrent action of both houses. Either | 20 |
|
house, by vote of a majority of its members, may dissolve such | 21 |
|
convention by an order withdrawing therefrom. A joint convention, | 22 |
|
by the concurrent vote of the two houses, may recess or adjourn to | 23 |
|
a time certain; but such recess or adjournment of the convention | 24 |
|
shall not be an adjournment or recess of either house, or prevent | 25 |
|
such house from proceeding with its business during such recess or | 26 |
|
adjournment. | 27 |
