| To amend section 4513.19 of the Revised Code to | 1 |
| require motor vehicle headlights to comply with | 2 |
| the headlamp color requirements contained in | 3 |
| Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108. | 4 |
| Section 1. That section 4513.19 of the Revised Code be | 5 |
| amended to read as follows: | 6 |
| Sec. 4513.19. (A) No person shall use any lights mentioned in | 7 |
| sections 4513.03 to 4513.18 of the Revised Code upon any motor | 8 |
| vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer unless said lights are equipped, | 9 |
| mounted, and adjusted as to focus and aim in accordance with | 10 |
| regulations which are prescribed by the director of public safety. | 11 |
| (B) The headlights on any motor vehicle shall comply with the | 12 |
| headlamp color requirements contained in federal motor vehicle | 13 |
| safety standard number 108, 49 C.F.R. 571.108. No person shall | 14 |
| operate a motor vehicle in violation of this division. | 15 |
| (C) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor | 16 |
| misdemeanor. | 17 |
| Section 2. That existing section 4513.19 of the Revised Code | 18 |
| is hereby repealed. | 19 |
