A BILL
To amend section 5533.977 and to enact sections 1
5533.542, 5533.543, 5533.544, and 5533.545 of the 2
Revised Code to designate four new memorial 3
highways in Butler, Hamilton, and Warren counties 4
and to revise a memorial highway designation.5


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1.  That section 5533.977 be amended and sections 6
5533.542, 5533.543, 5533.544, and 5533.545 of the Revised Code be 7
enacted to read as follows:8

       Sec. 5533.542.  That portion of the road known as state route 9
number one hundred twenty-two, commencing at the intersection of 10
that route and Atrium boulevard within the municipal corporation 11
of Middletown and proceeding in an easterly direction to the 12
intersection of that route and Wilson farms boulevard within 13
Franklin township within Warren county only, shall be known as the 14
"Capt. Bartt D. Owens Memorial Highway."15

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 16
along the highway indicating its name.17

       Sec. 5533.543.  In addition to any other name prescribed in 18
the Revised Code or otherwise, that portion of the road known as 19
interstate route number seventy-one, commencing at mile marker 20
number fifteen and proceeding in a northerly direction to mile 21
marker number seventeen within Hamilton county only, shall be 22
known as the "Spc. Donald S. Morrison Memorial Highway."23

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 24
along the highway indicating its name.25

       Sec. 5533.544.  That portion of the road known as Tylersville 26
road, commencing at the intersection of that road and interstate 27
route number seventy-five in Butler county and proceeding in an 28
easterly direction to the boundary of Butler and Warren counties, 29
shall be known as the "Spc. Michael B. Cook, Jr. Memorial 30
Highway."31

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 32
along the highway indicating its name.33

       Sec. 5533.545. The portion of the road known as south fair 34
avenue south of state route number one hundred twenty-nine and as 35
north fair avenue north of that state route, commencing at the 36
intersection of south fair avenue and hancock avenue and 37
proceeding in a northerly direction to the intersection of north 38
fair avenue and state route number four in the municipal 39
corporation of Hamilton in Butler county, shall be known as the 40
"Sgt. Charles J. Webb Memorial Highway."41

        The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 42
along the highway indicating its name.43

       Sec. 5533.977.  In addition to any other name prescribed in 44
the Revised Code or otherwise, that portion of the highway known 45
as United States route number forty-two, commencing at the 46
intersection of that route and Butler Warren road and proceeding 47
in a northeasterly direction to the intersection of that route and 48
West Main Street in the municipal corporation of MasonBunnell 49
road in Warren county only, shall be known as the "SFC William B. 50
Woods, Jr. Memorial Highway." 51

       The director of transportation may erect suitable markers 52
along the highway indicating its name.53

       Section 2. That existing section 5533.977 of the Revised Code 54
is hereby repealed.55
