A JOINT RESOLUTION

To provide for the Ohio General Assembly to meet in 1
joint session at the Franklin County Veterans 2
Memorial on November 10, 2010, for the purpose of 3
honoring the recipients of the Ohio Military Medal 4
of Distinction and their family members. 5

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       WHEREAS, Am. Sub. S.B. 248 of the 127th General Assembly 6
established the Ohio Military Medal of Distinction to honor 7
Ohioans who have fallen while in the service of the United States; 8
and 9

       WHEREAS, The Ohio General Assembly intends to honor the 10
nearly 200 recipients of the Ohio Military Medal of Distinction in 11
a joint session of the General Assembly convened for that purpose; 12
and 13

       WHEREAS, It is appropriate to conduct that joint session at 14
the Franklin County Veterans Memorial, the core mission of which 15
is "to commemorate the services of all members and veterans of the 16
armed forces of the United States"; now therefore be it 17

       RESOLVED, That we, the members of the 128th General Assembly 18
of the state of Ohio, shall meet in joint session at the Franklin 19
County Veterans Memorial at 300 West Broad Street, Columbus, on 20
Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at 1:00 o'clock p.m., for the 21
purpose of honoring the recipients of the Ohio Military Medal of 22
Distinction and their family members. 23
