| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General | 3 |
| Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Michael Brajdic as the | 4 |
| 2009 Division II State Boys Cross Country Champion; and | 5 |
| WHEREAS, Michael Brajdic is deserving of recognition for his | 6 |
| outstanding accomplishments as a member of the Bay High School | 7 |
| cross country team. A fine young athlete, he placed first at this | 8 |
| year's Division II State Meet, and his record of personal | 9 |
| attainment stands as a hallmark worthy of emulation; and | 10 |
| WHEREAS, By developing such exceptional prowess as a | 11 |
| distance runner, Michael Brajdic has earned the appreciation of | 12 |
| his fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the | 13 |
| respect of even his most determined rivals. Cross country has | 14 |
| enabled him to learn much about dedication, discipline, and | 15 |
| perseverance, and we take this opportunity to honor him for his | 16 |
| exceptional achievement; and | 17 |
| WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders | 18 |
| of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the | 19 |
| rewards of individual effort, athletic competition has become a | 20 |
| valuable educational tool. With athletics playing such an | 21 |
| important part in the development of our young people, we are | 22 |
| extremely pleased to pay tribute to such an exemplary athlete as | 23 |
| Michael Brajdic; therefore be it | 24 |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th | 25 |
| General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud | 26 |
| Michael Brajdic on his state championship title and salute him as | 27 |
| an outstanding Ohioan; and be it further | 28 |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly | 29 |
| authenticated copy of this Resolution to Michael Brajdic. | 30 |
