A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Jackson High School boys basketball team 1
on winning the 2010 Division I State Championship.2

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 128th General 3
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to honor the Jackson High School boys 4
basketball team as the 2010 Division I State Champion; and5

       WHEREAS,  The talented Jackson High School boys basketball 6
team is, indeed, to be heartily commended, for by defeating a 7
strong Archbishop Moeller team, it has decisively earned this 8
year's Division I State Championship. The 57-34 victory of the 9
Polar Bears reflects an extraordinary collective effort by a 10
gifted group of athletes. Without exception, they had prepared 11
conscientiously in pursuit of the state title, devoting countless 12
hours to training and practice in order to ensure peak 13
conditioning, and clearly, this demanding regimen has paid 14
handsome dividends; and15

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Jackson High School boys 16
basketball team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision 17
that befit true champions. To his credit, head coach Mike Fuline 18
has guided the team with unwavering expertise and encouragement, 19
and he merits enthusiastic praise for coaxing admirable 20
performances out of the Polar Bears in each competitive outing. 21
Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have consistently 22
maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting strength, speed, 23
stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. Time and 24
again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their 25
unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and 26
finesse have earned them widespread respect, even among their most 27
formidable rivals; and28

       WHEREAS,  By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing 29
over a host of adversaries, the members of the Jackson High School 30
boys basketball team have learned much about dedication, 31
self-discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place 32
finish is a measure of their stalwart commitment to the sport, and 33
their indomitable spirit has made their families, friends, and 34
coaches extremely proud. This triumph, which rewards the loyal 35
fans who followed the Polar Bears to their first state basketball 36
title, attests to the staunch resolve of these young men and 37
signifies the acquisition of valuable experience that is sure to 38
benefit them in later life; therefore be it39

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th 40
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the 41
Jackson High School boys basketball team for its brilliant season 42
and wish its members continued success in all of their future 43
endeavors; and be it further44

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 45
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Jackson High School 46
boys basketball team.47
