| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General | 4 |
| Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Oak Hill High | 5 |
| School boys basketball team as the 2009 Division IV State | 6 |
| Champion; and | 7 |
| WHEREAS, Each member of the Oak Hill High School boys | 8 |
| basketball team is an excellent young athlete, and Coach Norm | 9 |
| Persin has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and | 10 |
| dedication in guiding this squad to victory. This season, the Oaks | 11 |
| bested the team from Kalida High School by a score of 48-43 to win | 12 |
| this year's Division IV State Championship title, and the | 13 |
| unwavering commitment of the players and their coach has earned | 14 |
| them this honor; and | 15 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Oak Hill High School boys | 16 |
| basketball team have established themselves as truly exceptional | 17 |
| athletes, and they have emerged as winners both on and off the | 18 |
| court. Norm Persin's skill as a coach is reflected in his squad's | 19 |
| success, and he has earned the respect and admiration of all who | 20 |
| know him; and | 21 |
| WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the | 22 |
| future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of | 23 |
| self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, | 24 |
| athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. The | 25 |
| maturity and experience the Oaks have gained through their | 26 |
| participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the | 27 |
| challenges of the future; therefore be it | 28 |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th | 29 |
| General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the | 30 |
| Oak Hill High School boys basketball team on its exemplary season | 31 |
| and salute the players and coach as some of Ohio's finest | 32 |
| citizens; and be it further | 33 |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly | 34 |
| authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Oak Hill High School | 35 |
| boys basketball team. | 36 |
