A RESOLUTION
Honoring Samantha Zuch on winning two 2009 Division II State Swimming and Diving Titles.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Samantha Zuch as the 2009 Division II State Swimming and Diving Champion in the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events; and

       WHEREAS,  An exceptional athlete, Samantha Zuch is deserving of recognition for her impressive accomplishments as a swimmer. A member of the Napoleon High School swimming and diving team, she placed first in the 200- and 500-yard events at this year's Division II State Championship, and her record of personal achievement stands as a hallmark worthy of emulation; and

       WHEREAS,  Consistently displaying exceptional form, ability, and commitment, Samantha Zuch has not only inspired her teammates and thrilled fans and spectators throughout the area, but she has also won the admiration of many opponents. To her credit, she has established herself as one of the finest swimmers in the state; and

       WHEREAS,  In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Through her participation in sports, Samantha Zuch has learned lessons of perseverance and hard work that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her throughout her lifetime; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Samantha Zuch on her exceptional accomplishments and salute her as a fine Ohioan; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Samantha Zuch.
