| Honoring the Euclid City School District on the One Hundredth Anniversary of its high school football program. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Euclid City School District on the auspicious occasion of the One Hundredth Anniversary of its high school football program; and |
| WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to ECSD, for it has played a vital role in preparing countless young people to meet the challenges of the future. Since the founding of the high school football program in 1908, the school's coaches and players have given willingly of their time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, and we are certain that, in the years to come, the school will continue to help students become capable and well-rounded individuals; and |
| WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of both group and individual achievement, high school athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Through their participation in sports, the members of the Euclid High School football team, both past and present, have learned lessons of perseverance, hard work, and fair and honest play that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; and |
| WHEREAS, The Panthers are to be applauded, for throughout many triumphant seasons, they have epitomized the speed, agility, stamina, and skill that befit top competitors. Their victories over a host of talented opponents underscore the athletic prowess and indomitable spirit of each member, and it is no surprise that their maturity and determination have earned them so many admirers; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Euclid City School District on the One Hundredth Anniversary of its high school football program and salute all those associated with it as fine Ohioans; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Euclid City School District. |
