Honoring Clare Pruitt on qualifying for the 2009 National History Day event. |
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Clare Pruitt on being selected to attend the 2009 National History Day event; and |
WHEREAS, Clare Pruitt is deserving of praise for qualifying for this year's National History Day competition. Her impressive credentials reveal a number of admirable strengths, and her exceptional junior group documentary project, entitled "Jacob Rus: Tenament Reformer, Immigrant Ally," clearly reflects her commitment to academic excellence. She has displayed leadership ability, maturity, and a capacity for diligence that should be equal to even the most difficult tasks that lie ahead; and |
WHEREAS, As a student at Birchwood School, Clare Pruitt has proven herself to be a mature young individual of exceptional intelligence and determination, and she has demonstrated the confidence and enthusiasm of a true competitor. The knowledge that she has gained through her participation in National History Day is certain to be of benefit to her as she continues to pursue her studies; and |
WHEREAS, Clare Pruitt's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her school, and her community. In many areas of endeavor, she has set a superb example for others to follow; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Clare Pruitt for outstanding achievement and salute her as a fine young Ohioan; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Clare Pruitt. |
