A RESOLUTION
Honoring Aristotle L. Hutras on his retirement.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Aristotle L. Hutras on the memorable occasion of his retirement as executive director of the Ohio Retirement Study Council; and

       WHEREAS,  Throughout more than thirty years of distinguished public service, Aristotle Hutras has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties with the utmost efficiency and competence. Previously serving five years as executive secretary of the Ohio House of Representatives, he was named executive director of the Ohio Retirement Study Council in 1990, and during his tenure, he was instrumental in increasing its pension oversight responsibilities, recommending several changes in pension law to the Ohio legislature, establishing the ORSC website, and managing office operations. In addition, he served on the Joint Legislative Committee to Study Ohio's Public Retirement Plans, several National Conference of State Legislatures committees, the Ohio Health Coverage and Quality Council, the Credit Union of Ohio Board of Directors, and the Ohio Capitol Square Foundation, and he has spoken on numerous panels for NCSL, the American Legislative Exchange Council, and various retiree organizations; and 

       WHEREAS,  Aristotle Hutras is a remarkable individual, combining civic concern with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in the State of Ohio. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has given generously of his time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society; and

       WHEREAS,  The enthusiasm and expertise Aristotle Hutras has shown in his endeavors have earned him the respect of all those with whom he has been associated. As he retires, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has provided a valuable service to the state and has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Aristotle L. Hutras on his retirement and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Aristotle L. Hutras.
