| Honoring the 179th Airlift Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard on being recognized by the National Guard Association of the United States. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the 179th Airlift Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard on receiving national recognition; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the 179th Airlift Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard are truly remarkable, for they have diligently striven to maintain the highest levels of integrity and professionalism while serving the State of Ohio and the United States of America, and as a result, the unit has been accorded the 2012 Spaatz, Curtis "Rusty" Metcalf, and Major General J. Pesch Flight Safety awards by the National Guard Association of the United States. These fine individuals have displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to achieve superior results, and we applaud them on their outstanding contributions to our state and nation; and |
| WHEREAS, The illustrious record of service attained by the 179th Airlift Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard readily explains why the members of this acclaimed unit are held in such high esteem. Without hesitation, the men and women of the wing have fulfilled their assignments with efficiency, expertise, and valor, and they are truly admirable; and |
| WHEREAS, As the 179th Airlift Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard receives these prestigious honors, it is fitting that the citizens of Ohio reaffirm their collective appreciation for those who so bravely defend American ideals, often facing grave danger in order to keep our people and our way of life safe from harm. We are certain that these heroic soldiers will serve as a source of inspiration for future generations; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the 179th Airlift Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard on its recent accolades and wish its members and leaders ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the 179th Airlift Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard. |
