A RESOLUTION
Honoring Sheriff Dwight Radcliff on his retirement.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Sheriff Dwight Radcliff on his innumerable contributions to Pickaway County; and

       WHEREAS,  Throughout his career in the field of law enforcement, Dwight Radcliff has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Commencing his tenure as the Pickaway County Sheriff in 1964, he previously served as a deputy, and he has distinguished himself as a capable leader, a skilled member of the safety services personnel, and an exemplary individual who is committed to upholding his duties; and

       WHEREAS,  For his tremendous efforts, Dwight Radcliff was presented with this year's J. Stannard Baker Award for Traffic Safety and the Executive Director's Award by the National Sheriffs' Association and the Community Leadership Award by Ohio Christian University, and his commitment and initiative have guaranteed a high level of success for all projects with which he has been involved. He has become an impressive role model for all those pursuing a career in law enforcement; and

       WHEREAS,  The longest serving sheriff in the United States and a past president of NSA, where he currently serves as a member of its board of directors, Dwight Radcliff has consistently exercised sound judgment, and he has been extremely conscientious in discharging his diverse and challenging responsibilities. The outstanding manner in which he has carried out his many obligations is deserving of high praise, as well as the gratitude and respect of his colleagues and the citizens he has so capably served; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Sheriff Dwight Radcliff on his retirement and extend best wishes in his future endeavors; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sheriff Dwight Radcliff.
