A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Ross High School Alpha Technologies team as the 2012 SAGE World Cup runner-up.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Ross High School Alpha Technologies team on placing second in the socially responsible business category at the 2012 Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship World Cup; and

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Ross High School Alpha Technologies team are a remarkable group of young academicians, combining talent and competitive spirit with exceptional knowledge to establish themselves as a truly exemplary squad. With commendable dedication, members Michael Kimble, Troy Beebe, David Shumate, and Andrew Scheffler performed admirably against teams from across the country and around the globe, and as a result, they won first place at SAGE USA to qualify for this year's SAGE World Cup, where they won second place in the socially responsible business category. Throughout long hours of practice and preparation, the students have displayed a degree of determination and motivation of which they can be proud; and

       WHEREAS,  In preparing themselves for these important contests, the members of the Ross High School Alpha Technologies team have had the opportunity to develop and express their individual abilities and to acquire knowledge and information that will be of great benefit to them throughout their lives. Having worked diligently to sharpen their skills, they confronted competition with confidence and enthusiasm and distinguished themselves as worthy representatives of their school, community, state, and nation; and

       WHEREAS,  The success of the Ross High School Alpha Technologies team is a justifiable source of pride not only for the students but also for their families, their school, their community, and their advisor, Thomas P. O'Neill. The maturity and experience the members have gained through their participation in SAGE will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Ross High School Alpha Technologies team for outstanding achievement and salute the members and advisor as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ross High School Alpha Technologies team.
