| Honoring Solutions for Patient Safety on being named a 2011 National Quality Strategy best practice. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Solutions for Patient Safety on being recognized as a best practice in National Quality Strategy by the United States Department of Health and Human Services; and |
| WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious honor is an accomplishment of which the health care providers and business community that formed Solutions for Patient Safety can be proud, for they have been recognized for their dedication to producing quality health care service. All those associated with the organization are to be commended for their willingness to work hard to achieve superior results; and |
| WHEREAS, A collaboration of the Cardinal Health Foundation, the Ohio Business Roundtable, the Central Ohio Hospital Council, the Ohio Hospital and Children's Hospital associations, and twenty-five hospitals throughout Ohio, Solutions for Patient Safety was established in 2009 to improve and eliminate avoidable medical errors by implementing the most current patient safety efforts and medical practices, thereby increasing successful patient outcomes and reducing health care costs. We are certain that in the years to come, this fine initiative will continue to display the same unwavering dedication to excellence for which it has become known; and |
| WHEREAS, Ohio's economic prosperity depends on groups such as Solutions for Patient Safety to assure high standards of services for the citizens of our state. This noteworthy agency is certainly deserving of emulation; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Solutions for Patient Safety on its recent accolade and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Solutions for Patient Safety. |
