| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Robert A. Chaney on receiving the 2013 U.S. Professor of the Year Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching; and |
| WHEREAS, A professor of mathematics at Sinclair Community College, Robert Chaney is deserving of this tribute, which reflects his dedication to others, his exemplary teaching skills, and the exceptional talent that he brings to the Sinclair campus. The director of the Math Science Technology Center, which he co-founded, and co-director of Learning with Math Machines, he epitomizes the qualities that characterize the finest educators in the area, and we applaud him on his praiseworthy efforts; and |
| WHEREAS, Willingly contributing his time, talent, and seemingly inexhaustible energy to students and teachers alike, Robert Chaney has demonstrated the importance of education and the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society. His work stands as the hallmark of responsible citizenship; and |
| WHEREAS, Robert Chaney's outstanding endeavors have helped to guarantee a high level of success for all projects with which he has been involved and have gained him the appreciation and esteem of many. It is through the unsurpassed commitment and unwavering support of conscientious individuals such as he that our state continues to grow and prosper and remains responsive to the needs of its citizens; therefore be it |
