| Honoring Ama Koranteng on receiving a 2014 National Aspirations in Computing Award. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Ama Koranteng on being presented with a 2014 Aspirations in Computing Award by the National Center for Women and Information Technology; and |
| WHEREAS, A senior at New Albany High School, Ama Koranteng has striven to develop her capabilities, and consequently, she was one of only thirty-five female high school students in the country to be accorded an Aspirations in Computing Award for her aptitude in computing and technology. An intelligent and motivated individual, she has amply demonstrated her ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence and has displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to produce superior results. Through her tremendous efforts, she has set an example worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, With self-discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Ama Koranteng has striven to increase her knowledge and skills. Through her decisive leadership, she has distinguished herself as a conscientious and responsible young woman, and we are certain that she will continue to display the same unwavering dedication to excellence for which she has become known; and |
| WHEREAS, Ama Koranteng's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teachers, her school, and her community. She has exhibited a sincere desire to fully develop her talents so that she might fulfill her goals in the future, and this, coupled with her maturity and initiative, shows her potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Ama Koranteng for outstanding achievement and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
