A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Hudson Police Department on receiving a 2013 Voice of the People Award.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Hudson Police Department on receiving a Voice of the People Award at the 2013 International City/County Management Association conference; and

       WHEREAS,  This prestigious honor is a fitting tribute to the Hudson Police Department for taking extraordinary steps to deliver quality law enforcement services to the community. Having achieved the most improvement in their service quality rating of all jurisdictions surveyed by the National Research Center, Inc., the members of this fine department have distinguished themselves as conscientious and hard-working Ohioans; and 

       WHEREAS,  All those associated with the Hudson Police Department are deserving of praise for their expertise and commitment, as well as for the invaluable contributions they have made to their profession. These diligent people have fulfilled their duties and responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and effectiveness and have given willingly of their time, energy, and abilities far beyond what is required or expected. Their professional ethics, positive work attitude, and cooperation with the public have earned them the respect and esteem of the citizens they have so capably served, and we applaud them on their exemplary efforts; and

       WHEREAS,  Countless citizens in the community owe their safety, and some their very lives, to the members of the Hudson Police Department, who have displayed outstanding courage and initiative in the performance of their duties, as well as an unwavering dedication to excellence on the job. At a time when many people are content to take a passive role in life, these fine individuals have chosen a vocation in which they have often risked their own safety to ensure the well-being of others, and their enthusiasm and devotion to duty have ensured that the State of Ohio remains a friendly and pleasant place in which to live; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Hudson Police Department on its exemplary success and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Hudson Police Department.
