Honoring William K. Weisenberg on his retirement from the Ohio State Bar Association. |
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to William K. Weisenberg on the memorable occasion of his retirement as assistant executive director for public affairs, government relations, and diversity initiatives for the Ohio State Bar Association; and |
WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished career, William Weisenberg has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. An attorney, he served in various posts with the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, the law firm of Perrin and Loveland, the Governor's Task Force on Corrections, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, the Ohio Youth Commission, and the Ohio House of Representatives before becoming director of government affairs with the Ohio State Bar Association in 1979, and he was named its assistant executive director for public affairs, government relations, and diversity initiatives in 1999; and |
WHEREAS, Never content to take a passive role in life, William Weisenberg has been active with such organizations as the Columbus, Ohio State, and American bar associations, the Columbus, Ohio State, and American bar foundations, the National Association of Bar Executives, the National Center for State Courts Ad Hoc Advisory Committee on Judicial Campaign Conduct, and the Ohio Commission on Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management, Lobbying Association, Victim-Witness Advisory Board, and Legal Assistance Foundation, and he has received numerous honors and awards. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has given generously of his time and talent far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society; and |
WHEREAS, The enthusiasm and expertise William Weisenberg has shown in his endeavors is clearly evident. As he retires, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has provided a valuable service to the State of Ohio and has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate William K. Weisenberg on his retirement and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to William K. Weisenberg. |
