| Honoring Olivia Small on her exemplary performance at the 2014 Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Indoor Track and Field Championships. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Olivia Small as the 2014 Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Indoor Track and Field Champion in the long jump and the triple jump; and |
| WHEREAS, These achievements are truly noteworthy, for Olivia Small has clearly demonstrated her talent and perseverance, as well as her mental and physical fortitude in track and field. At this year's Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Indoor Track and Field Championship meet, she placed first in the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 4 inches and in the triple jump with a distance of 37 feet, 3.5 inches. Indeed, she has exemplified courage, determination, and an innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world; and |
| WHEREAS, In displaying such exceptional prowess as a senior member of the Big Walnut High School track and field team, Olivia Small has set an example worthy of emulation. Time and again, she has risen to the occasion, maintaining the morale, composure, and tenacity that have earned her many admirers; and |
| WHEREAS, The long jump and triple jump are events that require exceptional strength and natural ability, and Olivia Small is to be commended for her commitment to this demanding activity. Clearly, her exceptional prowess has made her family and friends very proud; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Olivia Small on her achievements and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it further |
