A RESOLUTION
Honoring Terra Stapleton as a 2014 Ohio Division III Co-Player of the Year.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Terra Stapleton on being named a 2014 Ohio Division III Co-Player of the Year in girls basketball by The Associated Press; and

       WHEREAS,  A senior at Fairland High School, Terra Stapleton has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in basketball, and as a result, she averaged 17.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 3.7 blocked shots per game while helping the Lady Dragons win the Division III Region 11 Championship and advance to the Division III State semifinals this season; and 

       WHEREAS,  Terra Stapleton's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her Ohio Division III Co-Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive year, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and

       WHEREAS,  With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Terra Stapleton on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in basketball will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Terra Stapleton as a 2014 Ohio Division III Co-Player of the Year and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Terra Stapleton.
