| Honoring the Mechanicsburg High School girls bowling team as the 2014 Division II State Champion. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Mechanicsburg High School girls bowling team on winning the 2014 Division II State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young bowlers, team members Emily Taylor, Lauren Mayberry, Katie Bush, Michaela Edwards, and Ally Hosier have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable dedication, the Indians have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they defeated a tough Coldwater team by a score of 3-2 to win this year's Division II State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Mechanicsburg High School girls bowling team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the members, their families, their school, their head coach, Dave Bush, and his assistant, Matt Mayberry, and their community. The success of any competitive endeavor depends largely on the ability of the coaches to provide both guidance and inspiration, and in leading their team to victory, Coach Bush and Coach Mayberry have not only helped each student to develop her talents to the fullest, but they have also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and |
| WHEREAS, With sports playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these fine youths and their outstanding coaches for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through participation in bowling will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, honor the Mechanicsburg High School girls bowling team on its tremendous 2014 season and salute the members and coaches as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Mechanicsburg High School girls bowling team. |
