| Honoring Dr. Rachel Jones as the 2014 OAESA Distinguished Principal of the Year. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Dr. Rachel Jones on being named the 2014 Distinguished Principal of the Year by the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators; and |
| WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious distinction is an honor of which Rachel Jones can be proud, for she has been selected by the nation's largest school administration organization for contributing outstanding school leadership, providing high quality learning opportunities for youth, and being a role model for students and staff alike. Serving as principal of Gurney Elementary School since 2001, she has performed her duties and fulfilled her responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence, demonstrating a strong belief in education and an even stronger belief in her students; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout Rachel Jones's career in the field of education, she has supported countless students in their scholastic endeavors and has helped to nurture within them a desire for academic excellence. Willingly giving of her time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, she has earned the respect and gratitude of her colleagues, her community, and, most importantly, her students, and we applaud her on her fine efforts; and |
| WHEREAS, Rachel Jones can be assured that as a creative champion of classroom excellence, she has never failed to inspire others by her own professional example, and her career will long stand as a hallmark worthy of emulation. Over the years, she has constructively shaped the lives of numerous young people by providing them with invaluable direction to prepare them for meaningful roles as productive, upstanding citizens of our communities; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Dr. Rachel Jones on her innumerable contributions to the field of education in the State of Ohio and extend best wishes in her future endeavors; and be it further |
