| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Tori Abdul as the 2014 Division III State Champion in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and the 4x100- and 4x200-meter relays; and |
| WHEREAS, A senior at Tinora High School, Tori Abdul has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in track and field, and as a result, she won first place in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and helped her team win first place in the 4x100- and 4x200-meter relays at this year's Division III State Meet; and |
| WHEREAS, Tori Abdul's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Tori Abdul on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Tori Abdul on her personal success and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
