A RESOLUTION
Honoring Max Gustafson on earning fourteen gold medals at the 2014 Maccabi Games.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Max Gustafson on placing first in fourteen events at the 2014 Maccabi Games; and

       WHEREAS,  This achievement is truly noteworthy, for Max Gustafson has clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as his mental and physical fortitude as a swimmer. Earning fourteen gold medals in the 15-to-16 age group in swimming at this year's Maccabi Games, he also received two silver medals, and he has exemplified the courage, determination, and good sportsmanship that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world; and 

       WHEREAS,  In displaying such exceptional prowess as a member of the Mandel Jewish Community Center, Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple, and the Shaker Heights High School and Shaker Sharks Club swim teams, Max Gustafson has set an example worthy of emulation. Time and again, he has risen to the occasion, maintaining the morale, composure, and tenacity that have earned him many admirers; and

       WHEREAS,  Swimming is an event that requires exceptional stamina and natural ability, and Max Gustafson is to be commended for his commitment to this demanding activity. Clearly, his exceptional prowess has made his family and friends very proud; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Max Gustafson on his outstanding performance at the 2014 Maccabi Games and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Max Gustafson.
