| Honoring the Central Crossing High School Naval Junior ROTC program on participating in the 2014 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Central Crossing High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program on being selected to take part in the 2014 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Central Crossing High School NJROTC program are, indeed, a talented and knowledgeable group of young people. With commendable dedication, they have performed admirably in all of their endeavors, including being named a Distinguished Unit for ten consecutive years and winning the 2012 National High School Drill Team Championship, and for their efforts, they were one of only four at-large units from non-battlefield states and the only representatives from Ohio chosen to participate in this year's Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout long hours of practice and preparation, the members of the Central Crossing High School NJROTC program have displayed a degree of determination and motivation of which they can be proud. Having worked diligently to sharpen their skills, they have distinguished themselves as worthy representatives of their school, community, and state; and |
| WHEREAS, The success of the Central Crossing High School NJROTC program is a fitting tribute to the excellent leadership provided by its naval science instructor, Sergeant Major Donald Bocook, who has given tirelessly of his time, energy, and expertise to guide the members. In being given the opportunity to be a part of the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade, the students will enjoy a unique experience that they will remember throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Central Crossing High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program for outstanding achievement and salute the members and instructor as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Central Crossing High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program. |
